
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
“The Arizona Aces Baseball Club holds our players to the highest expectations by enforcing discipline, structure, and leadership on and off the field. We are dedicated to providing committed athletes the opportunity to take their game to the next level.”
The rules, philosophies, and procedures that the Arizona Aces Baseball Club (Field One Performance, LLC.) will operate under are outlined below. In consideration of the mutual obligations specified in these Terms and Conditions, the Parties agree to the following.
PLAYER PARTICIPATION
ATTENDANCE
Every effort shall be made to attend all practices, games, tournaments, and any other team-sanctioned activities. It is expected that players arrives on time and fully prepared, including proper attire, equipment, and attitude. If your player is running late, please be sure to promptly inform the Coaching Staff. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) shall be solely responsible for ensuring that the their player is transported to and from all practices, games, tournaments, and other team-sanctioned activities. Such transportation shall be at the parent's/guardian's sole expense.
ABSENCES
In the event a player must miss a game or tournament, parent(s)/guardian(s) shall notify the Coaching Staff at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance. This timeline ensures that AZA can plan accordingly and arrange for substitute players, as necessary. In the event a player must miss a practice, parent(s)/guardian(s) shall promptly notify the Coaching Staff prior to said practice.
PLAYING TIME
AZA strives to provide every participant an equal opportunity to demonstrate their skills outside of games and tournaments. Attendance and commitment to such working sessions may impact potential playing time. The Arizona Aces Baseball Club is a competitive club baseball organization and does not guarantee any amount of playing time. It is the job of the coaches to arrange players in such a way that will allow for best success as a unit. The Coaching Staff will determine positions for each player that they feel will promote the greatest opportunity for success. Discussions, between parent(s)/guardian(s) and Coaching Staff, regarding playing time shall only take place outside of team-sanctioned events. In the event a guest player participates in any AZA games and/or tournaments, the Coaching Staff will do their best to ensure such guest player does not, in sum, receive a greater amount of playing time than any such AZA player participating in the same event, provided that all AZA players participating in such event are capable of playing to their best ability.
EQUIPMENT AND ATTIRE
EQUIPMENT: The following equipment is not provided by AZA and shall be the sole responsibility of parent(s)/guardian(s) and players: bat(s), batting glove(s), batting helmet(s), fielding glove(s), cleats, catching gear, and other personal equipment/protective gear. AZA will provide, at their sole expense, all training equipment to be used in practice sessions.

PRACTICE ATTIRE: AZA requires that players wear AZA-branded practice shirts and hats for team-sanctioned practices. Such Practice Attire will be provided by AZA, at the expense of parent(s)/guardian(s) and players, at the beginning of the season.

GAME ATTIRE: To maintain professionalism, AZA requires that all players display cohesion in their Game Attire. The following Game Attire will be provided by AZA, at the expense of parent(s)/guardian(s) and players: jersey(s), pant(s), and hat(s). It is the responsibility of the parent(s)/guardian(s) and players to provide belt(s) and sock(s) according to AZA request. Further Game Attire details shall be provided by AZA prior to season commencement.
DUGOUT ETIQUETTE
Players shall refrain from exiting the dugout during any practice, game, or tournament unless it is to use the restroom or quickly retrieve a necessity. It is expected that players have most everything they need inside the dugout prior to the start of such practice, game, or tournament. Players are not to use any electronic devices, including cell phones, inside the dugout, unless such use is determined an emergency and permitted by Coaching Staff.
PLAYER RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
Players agree to accept, abide by, and comply with all provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions.

Put forth and maintain good sportsmanship and professional behavior at all times.

Make every attempt to be on time and prepared for all games, practices, and tournaments.

Do not abuse, mistreat, or mishandle any personal or AZA equipment or property. This includes throwing any bat, helmet, glove, or any other object on or off the playing field at any time.

Wear Practice Attire and Game Attire properly and with respect. This includes jerseys/shirts being tucked in and hats to be forward-facing at all times.

Sprint on and off the field at all times.

Show respect to all umpires, league officials, coaches, opponents, and parents.

Follow the direction of Coaching Staff without question or judgment.

Do not transfer blame or make excuses. Be honest and take responsibility for all actions and results.

Lead by example, on and off the field.

Be a team player - support all teammates and their successes.

Applaud the successes of opponents.

Always maintain positive body language, no matter what.

Give 100% effort at all times.

Learn to take correction as a compliment.

Know signs, calls, team goals, and routines by heart.

​Use positive language. Any insulting language, including profanity or vulgar remarks, will not be tolerated at any time.

Be part of the solution, not the problem - do not criticize, condemn, or complain.

Have fun, learn the game, and enjoy the privilege provided.
PARENT/GUARDIAN PARTICIPATION
PARENT/GUARDIAN RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
The success of the AZA program depends heavily on the commitment of everyone in our organization, including parents/guardians. The following sets forth those rules and expectations that AZA requires from all parents/guardians. Parents agree to accept, abide by, and comply with all provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions.

Do not abuse umpires, coaches (AZA and opposing), or players (AZA or opposing) in any way. Allow players to play as they have been coached. This rule will be strictly enforced and any violations of such can result in expulsion from the team or team activity. THIS IS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY.

Do not challenge the authority of Coaching Staff. Any parent doing so will be asked to leave the event. If such an issue becomes recurring, Parent and Player may be expelled. Verbal or physical abuse of Coaching Staff will not be tolerated.

Unless regarding player safety or well-being, never address Coaching Staff before, during, or immediately following a game, practice, or tournament. Please communicate these topics outside of team-sanctioned events, via email, Spond, or text in a respectful and appropriate manner.

Unless under extenuating circumstances, remain outside of and away from the dugout.

Conversations with players during practices, games, and tournaments shall be kept positive and encouraging. Do not coach players during an AZA-sanctioned practice, game, or tournament.

Allow Coaching Staff to coach, discipline, and hold players to the highest standard within the game, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
ENFORCEMENT OF RULES AND VIOLATIONS
The Rules and Expectations listed herein are in place to ensure the quality development of our players while maintaining the integrity of our organization. AZA reserves the right to dismiss any player or parent/guardian who violates the Rules and Expectations set forth in these Terms and Conditions at its sole and absolute discretion that it determines are contrary to the best interest of the organization. Such dismissal shall be based on severity of said violation and may include suspension or expulsion.
MARKETING
Players and Parents/Guardians agree that his/her picture may be taken for still photographs, motion pictures, social media sites, or other marketing material and such pictures may be used freely by AZA. Players and Parents/Guardians understand that he/she is not entitled to any remuneration, profit-sharing or compensation of any kind for the use of his/her likeness in advertising or promotional material.

Players and Parents/Guardians hereby release and hold harmless the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, coaches, instructors, and staff from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality associated with the images specified above. Players and Parents/Guardians agree to hereby release the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, its contractors, its employees, and any third parties involved in the creation or publication of marketing materials, from liability for any claims in connection with his/her participation.
TRAINING AND COACHING ASSIGNMENTS
Practices, games, and tournaments will be conducted by the AZA Coaching Staff. Coaching Staff are required to communicate and collaborate on and off the field to ensure cohesiveness within the organization. While certain members of the Coaching Staff are dedicated to a particular team, all members of the Coaching Staff work together for the organization as a whole and will support wherever needed.
INJURIES AND INSURANCE
If a player becomes injured or ill during a game, practice, tournament, or any other team-sanctioned event, it is the player's and parent's/guardian's responsibility to report such injury or illness to Coaching Staff immediately. Parents/Guardians shall maintain medical, health, dental, and accident insurance for the benefit of their player. Parents/Guardians understand that any insurance that may be procured by the Arizona Aces Baseball Club will be secondary. Such insurance, if procured, will only provide benefits to the player once the limits of coverage of the insurance procured by parent/guardian have been exhausted. Players and Parents/Guardians agree to immediately notify Arizona Aces Baseball Club of any claim that a player was injured while participating in any team-sanctioned event.
FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
PLAYER FEES
Player Fees are set forth at https://www.azacesbaseball.com/player-registration. Player Fees cover the expenses of tournament fees, practice fields/facilities, league fees, coaches’ pay, baseballs and various training equipment, and other administrative expenses incurred by AZA. It is up to the discretion of parents/guardians whether they'd like to pay in full or per month - both options are available under Player Registration.
ADDITIONAL COSTS AND NON-COVERED ITEMS
GAME AND PRACTICE ATTIRE: Game and Practice Attire, including jerseys, pants, hats, shirts, and sweatshirt(s) are provided by AZA but not included in the aforementioned Player Fees; these items are an Additional Cost. Belts and socks, unless required custom for a specific AZA event, are not provided by AZA.

PERSONAL EQUIPMENT AND PROTECTIVE GEAR: All Personal Equipment and Protective Gear shall be the sole responsibility of parent/guardians and players, including but not limited to: bat(s), batting glove(s), batting helmet(s), fielding glove(s), cleats, catching gear, and other personal equipment/protective gear.

TRAVEL AND MEAL EXPENSES: All expenses related to travel, meals, or similar are the responsibility of the parents/guardians and players unless otherwise noted.

ADMISSION CHARGES: The aforementioned Player Fees cover admission expenses for players for games, tournaments, and specified team-sanctioned events. Admission Charges for all others (parents, siblings, guests) shall be the responsibility of the parents/guardians and players.

AZA SANCTIONED CAMPS, CLINICS, AND LESSONS: All AZA-sanctioned camps, clinics, or lessons that take place outside of regularly-scheduled practices are not included in the aforementioned Player Fees; these events are an Additional Cost. Discounted rates may be available depending on the program.
TERMINATION
TERMINATION BY AZA
The Arizona Aces Baseball Club may terminate this a player at any time and for any reason. Players and Parents/Guardians understand and agree that membership on the team is not guaranteed, and that a player may be removed at the sole discretion of AZA. Upon Termination, AZA will notify parents/guardians of its decision to remove the player and will request the parent/guardian to fill out a Removal Form.

TERMINATION FEE: Upon Termination, parent/guardian and player are responsible for a Termination Fee equal to 25% of the remaining Player Fees for the season.
TERMINATION BY PLAYER & PARENT/GUARDIAN
Player and Parent/Guardian may terminate their relationship with AZA upon thirty (30) days notice to AZA. AZA will request Parent/Guardian to fill out a Removal Form.

TERMINATION FEE: Upon Termination, parent/guardian and player are responsible for a Termination Fee equal to 25% of the remaining Player Fees for the season.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Players and Parents/Guardians hereby release the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, coaches, instructors, and staff from and against any and all claims, injuries, and/or damages which Player and/or Parent may suffer during or as a result of Player’s participation with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, including but not limited to travel to and from team-sanctioned events. Parent shall indemnify and hold harmless the Arizona Aces Baseball Club , coaches, instructors, and staff against any and all losses, liabilities, claims, damages, cost and expenses, including legal fees, of or in connection with Player’s participation with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club and/or Player’s performances of the terms of this agreement.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
In consideration for being allowed to attend and/or participate in any way in any program, event, or activity with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, players and parents/guardians acknowledge, appreciate, and agree as follows:

Risk of injury from activities involved in the programs and events in association with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club is present.

Player and Parents/Guardians acknowledge that player is attending and/or participating in such programs, events, or activities associated with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, and will use and/or be present at Arizona Aces Baseball Club facilities or any other location used to conduct Arizona Aces Baseball Club programs or events, at the player’s own risk.

Player and Parent/Guardian KNOWINGLY, FREELY, AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME AND ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL RISKS, both known and unknown, including but not limited to: the risk to the Player of personal injury, disability, death, and/or property loss, in relation to Player’s attendance and/or participation in the programs, events, or activities of the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, use of or presence at Arizona Aces Baseball Club facilities, and/or use of or presence at any location used to conduct any program or event associated with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, EVEN IF SUCH RISKS ARISE FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE ARIZONA ACES BASEBALL CLUB AND/OR ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, OFFICIALS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS, OTHER PARTICIPANTS, SPONSORS, ADVERTISERS, AND IF APPLICABLE, OWNERS AND LESSORS OF PREMISES USED TO CONDUCT A PROGRAM OR EVENT (collectively referred to as the “ARIZONA ACES RELEASEES”) or others.

Player and Parent AGREE THAT THE ARIZONA ACES BASEBALL CLUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER arising from any personal injury, disability, death, and/or property loss sustained by Player, Parent, or his/her family in relation to the Player’s attendance and/or participation in the programs, events, or activities of the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, use of or presence at Arizona Aces Baseball Club facilities, and/or use of or presence at any location used to conduct any program or event associated with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, EVEN IF SUCH RISKS ARISE FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE ARIZONA ACES RELEASEES or others.

Parent for himself/herself/themselves, and on behalf of Player and his/her/their heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby fully and forever RELEASE, DISCHARGE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE ARIZONA ACES RELEASEES from any and all claims, rights of actions, demands, losses, damages, and liability arising out of or related to any INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or property loss Player or Parent may suffer in relation to Player’s attendance and/or participation in the programs, events, or activities of the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, use of or presence at Arizona Aces Baseball Club facilities, and/or use of or presence at any location used to conduct any program or event associated with the Arizona Aces Baseball Club, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF ARIZONA ACES RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.
